Producing results is not only dependent on the hearing of God’s voice but taking prompt action in the direction that God is leading you. You need the Spirit of Obedience to be at work in you fully because that is the only way you can be sure to obey God’s instructions with immediate effect. Until you obey, you will not shine in the area you desire. Isaiah 60:1, Genesis 17:3, 12:1—5, Philippians 2:5-8
Why do we need the Spirit of Obedience?
- Men are naturally stubborn and will never obey God on their own
- Without obedience, your testimony will not be complete
- God’s instructions usually look impossible
- In order to be on the move in doing God’s word
Areas where the Spirit of obedience is needed to function
- Soul winning. Matthew 28:19-20
- Dragging people into God’s house. Proverbs 11:30
Two levels of Obedience
- Obey God
- Obey your spiritual leader
Pillars of Obedience (Daniel 3:16-17)
- Love
- Conviction
- Respect
We must understand that our blessings lie on our obedience to God. If you love God and respect Him and you are convinced of His sovereignty, you will always obey Him. The reason why you are stagnated in the different areas of your life is because you have refused to obey God. Different directions God has given you for your family, business, career etc. are all for your benefits. The more you delay in obeying God’s instructions, the more you miss out.
The distance between you and your miracles is Obedience Kilometer; the shorter your Obedience Kilometer, the faster your miracles. Don’t be so keen to receive instructions but be keen to obey. Obedience is superior to strategic thinking, whenever you walk out of obedience, you live by guess work. Obedience is your pathway to God’s blessings. Stop analyzing God’s instructions and start obeying.
