The faith that will obtain and overcome is the faith that draws strength form God’s word and declares the same. It is very important to understand that you declare what you want before you receive it. It is your responsibility to keep declaring what you want as you have located it in God’s word. With your mouth you speak forth and receive the desires of your heart.
The first principle that makes our faith work is the principle of spirituality. Spirituality is a relationship thing that you must establish with God. It is easier to grow your faith when you are in the right standing with God.
Secondly and more importantly is the principle of spiritual sanctification. You cannot exercise faith until you are pure. Wherever you see faith in the bible you see purity. 2 Timothy 2:22, 1 Timothy 4:12. Once you are infected with iniquity your faith rod will not produce. In fact, the devil will molest you once he finds any trace of sin in you. Zechariah 3:1, 2 Kings 5:20-22.
