He was a loyal seeker of God. He was well trained by his pastor and teacher Zechariah to live in reverent obedience before God, and for as long as Zechariah lived, Uzziah lived a godly life. And God prospered him. – 2 Chronicles 26:5 (MSG)
Everything in life starts with a strong decision that will push you through and financial prosperity is not an exemption. Prosperity comes by adherence to covenant practices and not merely prayer and fasting alone.
Application of financial truths/ principles is the beginning of your deliverance from poverty. There is a high level of confidence you access when you have plenty money at your disposal. Money is security.
What you have is enough to give you a start only if you can think enough. You must realize that nobody can pay you hence the earlier you that planning your financial future and working it out; the better for you. You must avoid things that waste your money and embrace the ones that multiply it.
Some of the financial principles are but are not limited to:
- Don’t eat your future to make your today comfortable. Spend your money wisely.
- You mustn’t buy everything that pleases your eyes. Save your money.
- Your tithe must be in tact (Malachi 3:8). Money is meant to be your servant and not your master so don’t be stingy with it or worship it.
- Create your monthly budget and stick to it. Avoid waste (John 6:12).
- Maintain a high financial integrity. People will have no difficulty giving you their money if you are a person of integrity.
Four levels of giving are:
- Tithe
- Offering
- Prophet’s offering
- Alms giving
Always give God your best. Give cheerfully and give God worthy offerings (2 Corinthians 9:7). Financial failure is when your focus in on the welfare of your family members only. You must create channels where your money will come from consistently. The number of channels you create is the level of money you’ll get (2 Kings 4:1-6).
How to I create these channels for cash flow?
- Sit down and develop ideas.
- Invest your money wisely in the right business.
- Get advice on how to do the right business.
- Engage in book keeping and record your income and expenditure.
Important quotes:
- Your good will is your highest collateral
- Three important qualities you lookout for in an individual are intelligence, energy and integrity. The latter is the most crucial, without it, the first two are rendered invalid.
- When your value increases, you will be given money cheaply
- What you have is enough, you are a borrower because you can’t think enough
