Believers have ignored the mysteries of the Gospel and that is why the gospel seems to have no impact in their lives. The gospel refers to the life and acts of Jesus and once you have a full grip of it, you will walk in wisdom and power. THE MYSTERIES OF THE GOSPEL

1. Divine health and longevity: what Jesus has taken away is not permitted to remain in your body. The bible makes us understand that Jesus took away our infirmities. Sickness is a spirit and Satan is the one behind any spirit of sickness. The mystery is that you cast out sickness like you cast out demons. You must see sickness as a temptation the same way you are tempted to sin and hence must overcome it. (Jeremiah 8:22, Matthew 16:16, Luke 13:16)
2. Mental Power: the Holy Spirit teaches us and also reminds us of what He has taught us. Testimonies of those whose mentality have been improved by their coming to Christ are unlimited. It is an error for a believer to fail exams or be slacking in any intellectual activity. (Acts 4:13, John 14:26)
3. Right living and eternal judgment: it is wrong to assume that life ends at this stage. Don’t jeopardize your 70 years on earth for eternity. Jesus did not fail to instruct us concerning eternity. Your life on earth determines whether you end up in hell or heaven for eternity. (Matthew 24:44-47, Revelation 21: 7-8)

During the time of Emperor Nero, Christians were fed to lions. One of those days, an old man was tied up to a tree to be burnt because he believed in Jesus. He was given five minutes to denounce Christ and be set free but he declared his faith in Jesus once more. He even told the soldiers that they shouldn’t bother about tying him to the tree that he would stay still and be burnt for Christ. You see, many people before us paid the price for this gospel we are enjoying now to be preserved. A life that must be approved by heaven is the life that is will to be destroyed because of Christ. You must come to the point where nothing can stop you from serving God (Romans 8:35-39). Remember what Jesus told his disciples that if they loved their lives more than Him, they would lose it (Luke 9:24). Our lord Jesus wants to be first in all our affairs, bear that in mind! (Matthew 6:33)

The life that will be approved by heaven is the life that has escaped the corruption of this world. From 2 Peter 1:4 we find the whole world is full of corruption and everyone present is at the risk of being a victim of this corruption. The only way to escape the corruption that is always in the world is through constant spiritual check-up. The spiritual check-up for every believer is the principles of God’s word. You must always check that your life is in accordance with what God’s word says. The greatest wickedness you can do to yourself is to allow pride stop you from receiving correction from the word of God.

 

THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LIFE APPROVED BY HEAVEN

1. A lifestyle of a living sacrifice (John 12:23-27)
2. A lifestyle of unreserved obedience (2 Corinthians 10:6)

 

Pillars that provoke the lifestyle of obedience

1. Genuine love for God
2. Honor for God
3. Intimate relationship status with God

 

The reason for disobedience is the voice-of-God deficiency. Before you can obey God you need to hear from His voice. It is not enough to hear God’s voice but you need to understand what He is saying. It is not enough to understand Him but you also need to obey what He has asked you to do for positive results.

The easiest way to access God’s voice is through a solid relationship with the Holy Spirit (the custodian of God’s voice). Whatever you want to do, submit it to the laboratory of God’s voice where the chief lab scientist is the Holy Ghost. For a life to be valid you must know how to hear from God. The only not to offend God is to hear from God. Wherever in the bible to you find God’s voice, ‘obey’ follows.

Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the Lord our God. (KJV)

Until you know the person (Holy Spirit) behind the presence, you cannot access the power. Seek the help of the Holy Spirit today to dwell in God’s presence forever.

Apart from being a living sacrifice there is something else God demands from a life he must approve. We understand that if we fail to become living sacrifices just like Jesus was we will fail our generation. (John 12:23-27)The next tool which we have observed from the scriptures to be costlier than the tool of a living sacrifice is the tool of obedience. (1 Samuel 15:22)
A life of obedience is a major tool to attaining God’s approval. A life that must count to both God and man is a life of unreserved obedience. Unreserved obedience grants us unreserved access to God. Obedience gives you access to spiritual authority. You can only be in command when your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 10:6). It is only at this point that you can mesmerize the devil.
Most times when we disobey God we tend to use sacrifice to compensate God but until we obey God completely no sacrifice of ours will be acceptable to Him. Your offering can be disobedience if you are not walking in obedience. If God is calling you to be a prayer warrior don’t go and sow
What happens when you are disobedient?
1. When you are disobedient , you lose the touch of God
2. When you are disobedient , you frustrate God’s grace upon your life
3. When you are disobedient , you deprive your generation of divine providence
4. When you are disobedient , you attract curses
We must follow our lord Jesus example of obedience if we must be approved of God. Going to the cross to die was not fun for him but he did it to obey God. The bible explains that Jesus learned obedience through his suffering. Don’t be scared to suffer in the process of obeying God for that is the sole essence of your life – obeying God. (Hebrews 5:8)
